What Works is a free workshop sharing the common behaviors of artists with enduring practices. It speaks directly to artists’ concerns in building sustainable careers from the artist’s point of view. These behaviors have been identified by the thousands of artists of all disciplines participating in the Artist INC Live program over the past fifteen years.
The concepts shared in the What Works workshop are the foundation of Artist INC program. Artist Peer Facilitators Kim Brook and Nick Carswell will explain the concepts and illustrate them with their personal and professional examples, leaving participating artists ready to apply them to their own practices. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Diane Scott, Director of Artist Services at Mid-America Arts Alliance.

The last thirty minutes of the workshop is dedicated to Q&A, allowing for direct interaction between the artist peer facilitators and the local artist community.
