Grants Available for Houston Musicians and Music Venues

City of Houston Musicians and Music Venues Economic Relief Program
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and City Council approved $3 million for the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs Musicians and Venues Economic Relief Program. Funded through the Federal CARES ACT, the program will provide immediate and short-term assistance to the Houston music sector impacted economically due to COVID-19.
Maximum grant awards for musicians will be $5,000. Maximum grant awards for music venues with an annual budget of up to $2 million will be $50,000. Maximum grant awards for music venues with an annual budget of over $2 million will be $100,000. Applications will not be processed on a first come, first served basis.
Grants were open through November 25, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
