For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to Mid-America Arts Alliance include maaa.org and M-AAA. The M-AAA website is an ecommerce and information site. By using the M-AAA website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection Of Your Personal Information

There are various locations on M-AAA websites where you may submit registration information. In order to complete your online transactions, we usually must collect information from you, including your name, email address, your postal address, or other pieces of personal information. 

If you pay for M-AAA services or make a donation, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction. We may gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

If you make a payment, purchase, or donation by letter, phone, or in person, information about that transaction will also be collected. If you contact us by email, letter, phone, or in person, that information about the communication will also be collected.

Collection of Anonymous Information

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by M-AAA. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This tracking system does NOT record information about individuals. This information is used to monitor traffic and improve this site. 

Email

If you send us an email, the message will usually contain your return address. If you include personal information in your email, we may use that information in responding to your request. Email is not necessarily secure or confidential. Send only the information that is necessary for us to answer your question or process your request.

Links to Other Sites and Embedded Content

M-AAA’s website may include links to other sites or embedded content, such as our videos, which are hosted by Vimeo and YouTube. Once you leave our servers, M-AAA does not control the privacy policies of destination sites. M-AAA encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from M-AAA so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. M-AAA is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the M-AAA website.

Use of Your Personal Information

M-AAA collects and uses your personal information to operate its website(s) and deliver the services you have requested.

M-AAA may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of programs or services available from M-AAA and its affiliates. M-AAA may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

M-AAA may keep track of the websites and pages our users visit within M-AAA, in order to determine what M-AAA services are the most popular. Data Hygiene

From time to time we may screen our database against recognized data hygiene file such as the National Change of Address file and cleanse our file or correct inaccurate data. We may also update inaccurate data if the information is available.

Social Media

Depending on your settings or the privacy policies for social media and messaging services like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, or Twitter, you may give us permission to access information from those accounts or services.

Contest Sponsors

M-AAA may occasionally present a special contest or promotion that is sponsored by a third party. To qualify for entry, we may ask you to provide personal information. Security of Your Personal Information

When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. Stripe is an independent, third-party payment services provider that allows M-AAA to accept credit and debit cards or other payments

Children under Thirteen

M-AAA does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website.

Jurisdiction and Venue

All users, including those who access the websites from a country other than the United States, agree by virtue of their use that the laws of the State of Missouri shall govern any disputes, including any arising from or in connection with use of the sites and any arising from M-AAA’s use of personal information or otherwise relating to privacy and that any claim made against the M-AAA can only be brought in a federal or state court in Jackson County, Missouri.
